When is the best time to drink rum? When it’s hot, hot, hot. When is the best time to stop drinking rum? When it’s all gone. The spicy spirit is unapologetically Summer-y, and arguably most at home in a decadent tiki cocktail.

Tropical Rum Cocktails
Coppercraft Cherry Tiki Takedown
One of our original tiki cocktails developed especially to use with our Holland to Holland rum!
- 2 oz Coppercraft “Holland to Holland” Rum
- 1 oz Thatcher’s Organic Blood Orange Liqueur
- .75 oz lime juice
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- .5 oz cherry simple syrup
- .5 oz cinnamon syrup
- 1 oz cream of coconut
- Maraschino cherry, garnish
- Lime wheel, garnish
- Cinnamon stick, garnish
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with crushed ice and shake until coconut cream is well mixed. Pour into a hurricane glass and top with crushed ice. Garnish with maraschino cherry, a lime wheel and a cinnamon stick.
Hector Barbossa
Of course we’d include a tiki cocktail named after a famous fictional pirate!
- 2 oz Coppercraft “Holland to Holland” Rum
- 1 oz Thatcher’s Organic Prickly Pear Liqueur
- 1.5 oz grapefruit juice
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- 1 oz lime juice
- .5 oz lemongrass syrup
- .5 oz orgeat syrup
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake, double strain into Tiki glass, and add crushed ice. Garnish with lemongrass stalk, grapefruit segment, pineapple segment.
White Wine Apple Tiki Cocktail
A tiki cocktail adjusted for the fall!
- 3 oz Chardonnay
- 1 oz Coppercraft “Holland to Holland” Rum
- .5 oz orange liqueur
- 2 oz sparkling apple cider
- 2 dashes orange bitters
- Fresh apple slices, garnish
- Mint, garnish
Blend all ingredients, save for garnishes and sparkling cider, with ice or shake all ingredients and pour over crushed iced. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with fresh mint and apple slices.

Quarantine Order
A modern take on the classic tiki cocktail style.
- 1.5 oz aged Jamaican rum
- 1.5 oz Coppercraft “Holland to Holland” Rum
- 5 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 oz grapefruit juice
- .5 oz cinnamon syrup
- .5 oz passion fruit syrup
Build ingredients in a shaker or blending tin. Flash blend or shake well with crushed ice. Pour into a snifter glass. Fill to top with fresh crushed ice. Garnish with a bouquet of mint, a lime wheel, and a speared cherry on a bamboo skewer.

The Tiki Bonfire Cocktail
An extremely decadent tiki cocktail perfect for summer!
- 2 oz Coppercraft “Holland to Holland” Rum
- .5 oz overproof rum
- .5 oz Angostura bitters
- 1 oz orange juice
- 1 oz lime juice
- .75 oz grenadine
- .5 oz pineapple syrup
- Half a lemon, hollowed out, for garnish
Combine rum, orange juice, lime juice, and pineapple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake hard to chill and combine. Pour grenadine in a Tiki glass over fresh ice. Strain concoction over the fresh ice and grenadine. Float Angostura bitters on top. Garnish with half of a lemon. Pour overproof rum into lemon, and light with a torch to impress your guests.
