Friends, today is usually filled with camaraderie, community cheerfulness, and cheersing green beers. But today – St. Patrick’s Day – feels a bit more like an Irish wake as we mourn the recent closure of bars and restaurants across Michigan and across the country.
Unfortunately we won’t be able to celebrate with you today, but we are going to do our best to provide you with a conciliatory pot of gold in the form of our newest cocktail: St. Patrick’s Symphony. Easy to make and even easier to enjoy, this emerald concoction consists of Coppercraft Rye Whiskey, lime juice, simple syrup, and five leaves of both basil and mint. The whiskey, lime, and simple remind many of a rye-based julep, while the mint and basil add an arsenal of earthly flavors that are unexpected, yet welcome.
